Apart from being constantly lied to, the updates have now become a farce. if Dimitri is selling off the kits and parts that we paid for, what is the point in Harold continuing to update us on the Be shield, when there won't be kits to go with them.? Even if they raise enough money from eBay sales to produce the BE Shield, where will they get the money to replace all the parts that have been sold ? This is a case of borrowing from Peter to pay Paul, a downward spiral !

Dimitri is probably going to only send out a small portion of the Ebay sales, "lost in shipping" and such like he has done in the past. From prior history he's planning on shipping out just enough to satisfy Ebay and keep the rest for future "sales".

Update 40 This has just been unpacked, a $120 rework station as found on Amazon, www.amazon.com/GQ-5200-soldering-Serivice-Fahrenheit/dp/B006N4QPSSI'm no expert but I would have thought a qualified, experienced electronics teacher, author and board maker who was paid $70k last year, would have had one of these for years, if not a slightly better model ?

Quote Timmis "As I have years of experience with the Arduino and my daily job is dedicated to design and test of similar products, " and " the BE Sheild is completed and tested "
The job, is working for Smartmaker, and all this design and testing done without a rework station ? And 1 year later still no Sheild .

From the latest update we see 1 Sheild, not a bunch, with 30 components soldered on, some of which we were told had been done 3 weeks ago. The IO expander and level shifter we were told were done 3 weeks ago, without the rework station ? Now with a new rework station it took 8 days to add 27 components. Does it really take a whole day of work to solder just 3 components ? These constant contradictions do nothing to gain my trust.

Another week, I still only see 1 board, not a bunch. After 4 weeks we now have 49 components soldered on, That's about 12 a week, slightly less than 2 components a day, Sounds about right for Timmis' work rate. At this rate it may even be ready for testing in the new year !
